Equality

As stated in our vision statement the equality of all is very important to us in our school. We wish to treat all pupils equally. We also wish to set a standard of equality by treating members of staff equally and not discriminating on grounds of gender, age or disability.

Equality of access and participation are values that have guided us in forming other school policies including Enrolment, Code of Behaviour, Anti bullying, Attendance, Resources, Special Needs, Uniform, Lunch and Curricula.

We are guided in our policy formation and decision making by Equal Status Act 2000

Sexual Harassment

It is our policy that all sexual harassment should be reported to the

  1. O.M. Should a case be reported to the Board, the Board shall use the Management Board Members handbook to investigate the matter. The Board may refer the matter to the CPSMA, the Gardaí, legal representatives, the Rape Crisis Centres or any other body that the Board feels should be informed. Reporting of Sexual Harassment should be in accordance with guidelines laid down in the Management Board Members Handbook.
